It was almost a <a href=\"https:\/\/coffeehouse.co.nz\/wordpress\/?p=2267\">year to the day since the last lots were lifted<\/a> (I&#8217;m just a bit slow getting this entry done).<\/p>\n<p align=center><a href=\"https:\/\/coffeehouse.co.nz\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/shallots.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/coffeehouse.co.nz\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/shallots.jpg\" alt=\"shallots\" width=\"450\" height=\"358\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2731\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coffeehouse.co.nz\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/shallots.jpg 450w, https:\/\/coffeehouse.co.nz\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/shallots-300x238.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So to recap the multi-year history: Planted 5 bulbs the first year and harvested about 16 or so. Replanted 9 of those this season (eating the rest) and harvested 26. Think we&#8217;ll reserve 17 this year to plant out around June and eat the rest.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve no idea what the difference has been this year, but some of the bulbs are <em>massive<\/em>. Onion size at least.
